- Use it like a USB thumb drive (Flash stick) by adding a portable reader
- Use it with a digital photo frame
- Backup important files on it for easy storage that doesn't require a whole closet dedicated to backup media
- Put an alternate operating system on it, just in case an emergency happens. For that purpose you can prepare it with UNetBootin if you want a Linux system (in that case it can be fully usable from the card) or prepare it for use as a scratch-immune Windows DVD replacement.
