6 Tips to Speed Up an old Android Phone/ Tablet.

Most tips have been posted before but in scattered bits across many posts.
  1. Don't upgrade your OS version. If you know how to do it, downgrade to the release version (the version that was installed when you bought the phone/ tablet). A great place to find out how to do this is the uber-clever XDA-Developers. Scroll down to find your device.
  2. Don't upgrade your applications.
  3. Don't install whatever you can live without (like Facebook messenger)
  4. Free up some storage; don't use up the whole space. Always recommended: leave up 20% free.
  5. Advanced: If you know what you're doing, disable the services you're not going to use. Me I always disable ANT service that syncs up the phone with sports gear. Also you can disable media server/ DLNA services that you're not using.
  6. Move the applications that are more used to internal storage rather than on SD card (like Facebook, Whatsapp)
