I have had 2 other earplugs before this one, and I have listened to many others. In a few words, all I can say about this earplug is that it is so dull. Although its price is actually sort of telling you of what to expect, the RCA logo should have never been painted on this pair. The plugset comes with three replaceable rubber cap pairs for different ears. This is probably the best bit of the whole set. I tried the ear plugs on with the middle-size caps, and its fit was very good. It held in place against the mild wire tugs, probably even better than other much more expensive sets. The 2 drives hang on epually-cut uber-thin wires that get in hoops on their own and feel so weak. You wouldn't want to be violent with those. The 3.5 jack is typical copper.
To test sound quality, I played first an R'n'B track from Ministry of Sound - Maximum Bass overdrive. If you can't hear the bass in that, then you should check again if what you have in your ears is ear buds, not plastic trash. I could barely feel it since it is clearly very underpowered. Regarding midrange and highrange frequencies, sound was OK, but still not worthy of an RCA logo. I tried it with other genres, the result is better due to the nature of the musical demand from the set. All in all, I wouldn't recommend to anybody buying this pair of headsets. If you are tight on budget get a Phillips pair or maybe even an iLuv pair.
