Evernote: Best app for taking notes, supports video, audio, photos. Account accessible through the web too.

MX Player: The VLC player of Android. Avoid headaches and just use it.

Aldiko Book Reader: For those who read. Good shelf view, nice full screen reading and good performance. ePud & PDF.

BaconReader For Reddit: reddit reader; excellent, compact, clear.

File Manager: File manager for devices that don't come with a built in file manager. Very frequently updated.

BitTorrent - Torrent, magnet client. Good and compact. Doesn't work with TorrentDay.ru torrents though.

The tip: you can browse Google Play store from your PC and manage app installation on your Android device(s) if they are connected to the internet, if not the changes will be reflected the next time they are connected.
